Suzanne  Bohan Suzanne Bohan is an award-winning health and science journalist. She currently works as a science reporter for the Bay Area News Group, a 654,000-circulation chain of newspapers in Northern California including the Contra Costa Times, Oakland Tribune and San Jose Mercury News. Previously Bohan worked as a correspondent for the Sacramento Bee. In 2010, she won the prestigious White House Correspondents' Association Edgar A. Poe Award for the four-part series, "Shortened Lives - Where You Live Matters." She's also the recipient of numerous previous journalism awards and fellowships. Bohan earned a B.A. in biology from San Francisco State University and an M.A. in journalism from Stanford University.
