About the Author

Brook Noel

Pamela D. Blair, Ph.D. is a psychotherapist and pastoral counselor with a private practice in Hawthorne, NY. She has been a faculty member at many prestigious learning facilities such as the New York Open Center in New York City, Wainright House in Rye New York and the Interface Institute of Cambridge, MA. She is the director of the Divorce Resource Network, and former publisher of the Surviving Divorce newsletter. As a therapist, she is known for her innovative personal growth workshops and support groups. Her spiritual-oriented programs provide a forum for participants to gain and understanding of their losses and to successfully recreate their lives. A frequently invited guest on TV, cable and radio talk shows, Dr. Blair has appeared on CBS TV and was a regular columnist for Single Living and writer for American Woman. She is currently a contributing editor to Divorce Magazine and to SingleParents Magazine. Dr. Blair holds a Ph.D. in Philosophy and a Master in Metaphysics from the American Institute of Holistic Theology, and a divinity degree from The New Seminary in New York, NY. Brook Noel is the author of six other highly-acclaimed books including, Back to Basics: 101 Ideas for Strengthening Our Children and Our Families and The Single Parent Resource. Noel regularly conducts workshops on parenting and writing and has taught or lectured at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, The Los Angeles Times, Washington State University and many other locations.
