About the Author

Jennifer Riedl Cross Ph.D.

Tracy L. Cross, Ph.D., holds an endowed chair, the Jody and Layton Smith Professor of Psychology and Gifted Education, and is the executive director of the Center for Gifted Education at The College of William and Mary. He has published more than 150 articles, book chapters, and columns, as well as four books, and has made more than 200 presentations at conferences. Jennifer Riedl Cross, Ph.D., received her doctorate in educational psychology from Ball State University. Her area of specialization is cognitive and social processes, with an emphasis in gifted studies. She serves The College of William and Mary’s Center for Gifted Education as a postdoctoral research fellow. Tracy and Jennifer live in Williamsburg, VA, and have four children (Ian, Keenan, Colin, Eva) in addition to Bob the English bulldog.
